The National Weather Service (NWS) - Charleston has issued a Flood Advisory for Chatham County until 5 PM tonight.

A slight risk of severe weather will continue through 8:00 AM Friday as well, with the greatest threat for our area from 10:00 PM until 4:00 AM. Storms may include lightning, large hail, damaging winds, and a chance of tornados. The National Weather Service in Charleston indicates an additional 3"-5" of rain could fall in our area before 8:00 AM Friday.

Chatham County residents are encouraged to remain vigilant throughout the next several days as severe weather continues to threaten our area. Ensure that your NOAA weather radios are operational and that residents use care when traveling. Motorists should be particularly careful when driving and avoid any roads that are covered in water.
