It's that time of year when people hit the stores and shop, shop, shop. The idea is to find the perfect gift; however, sometimes finding that gift isn't an easy task. So while searching for the best looking tie or that big screen TV, it might be time to search some isles you may not likely travel during the holidays.
Think emergency and safety. Some of the best stocking stuffers are items that can be used if you're ever faced with a disaster. Think about how many of your friends and family have easily accessible flashlights? Ok, now think how many actually work? You can find them at numerous stores and online for anywhere between 10 to 15 dollars. A first aid kit is another useful gift you can stuff in a stocking. They range in size and some cost less than three dollars and are small enough to fit in your pocket. Of course a weather radio is an excellent gift that can save lives. You can even wrap the radio and throw some extra batteries in the stocking. Stores like Home Depot , Walmart, Sears and RadioShack carry a variety of radios to fit your budget. You need to make sure you get "SAME" technology so you can restrict the weather warnings to your specific county.
Other items you can throw in a stocking are whistles, can openers, dust masks and of course extra batteries!
