News [News] Final Day to Sign Up for CEMA Signal
The Chatham Emergency Management Agency's (CEMA) mission is to protect the lives and property of the residents of Chatham County. In order to enhance our services to the community, and differentiate between emergency and general information, we have created a new email group.
The new email group, CEMA Signal, will be dedicated to the distribution of general, non-emergency information that may be of interest to the public. For example, CEMA Signal will be used to distribute notifications regarding road closures, meetings, training opportunities, general preparedness information and much more!
CEMA Alert will be used exclusively to distribute emergency information that warns of conditions that threaten the lives and/or property of Chatham County residents.
To sign up for CEMA Signal, please visit the CEMA website at www.ChathamEmergency.org and sign up on our homepage. Effective July 6th, 2009, all general announcements will be distributed through CEMA Signal. Adding this additional mailing list to the CEMA website will allow you more opportunities to learn about significant events in your area as well as inform you of routine announcements that affect residents of Chatham County.
