Community Emergency Response Team Training Begins in March
Savannah, GA – January 29, 2010, 3:30 PM
 
 
Community Emergency Response Team Training is being offered to teach Chatham County residents about family and workplace disaster preparedness, small fire suppression, light search & rescue techniques and basic disaster medical operations.  
 
The CERT Course is 20 hours long and will include a hands-on disaster simulation in which participants practice the skills that they have learned.  All classes are taught by Chatham County emergency response personnel. Upon completion of the full 20 hour course, participants will receive a CERT disaster kit, Certificate of Completion and an invitation to join the Chatham County CERT Organization. 
 
The CERT training will take place on the following dates:
 
*  Saturday, March 6, 2010, 9am-4pm 
*  Sunday, March 7, 2010, 9am-4pm
*  Saturday, March 13, 2010, 9am-4pm
*  Sunday, March 14, 2010, 9am-4pm
 
All Chatham County residents are encouraged to participate.  There is a $20 registration fee that will be refunded upon completion of the 20 hour course.  Please visit the following website to complete the online application:
