Garden City
state route 307 (dean forest road) WILL BE closed to through traffic
between Robert b. miller road and state route 21 for NORFOLK SOUTHERN
RAILROAD CROSSING REPAIRS NEAR Robert b. miller road.
WHEN: 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010—2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March
3, 2010
WHERE: Norfolk Southern Railroad Crossing at State Route 307 (Dean
Forest Road) Near Robert B. Miller Road.
WHAT: Railroad crossing repairs to concrete panels. Norfolk
Southern crews will perform repair work on the railroad crossing.
Traffic will be detoured to the following routes:
From Dean Forest Road: Turn left at Robert B.
Miller Road to Gulfstream Road. Turn right on Gulfstream Road to SR 21.
Turn right on SR 21South to State Route 307
(Dean Forest Rd.).
From Georgia Port Authority: Turn right on SR
21North to Gulfstream Road. Turn left on Gulfstream Road to Robert B.
Miller Road. Turn left on Robert B. Miller Road to
State Route 307 (Dean Forest Rd.).
State Route 21 through traffic will not be affected by this road
closure. SR 21 northbound left turn lane will be closed at State Route
307 (Dean Forest Rd.). SR 21 southbound right turn lane will be closed
at State Route 307 (Dean Forest Rd.).
This is a WORK ZONE and extreme caution is necessary. Motorists are
advised to reduce speeds as they travel through this construction work
zone. Message signs, barrels and cones will be utilized to alert the
public of the upcoming changes.
Georgia DOT endeavors to work with the community and minimize traffic
delays caused by construction. We appreciate your cooperation. If
