Monthly Siren Test Postponed to March 24th
Savannah, GA
Due to cloudy weather, the Chatham Emergency Management Agency’s (CEMA) scheduled monthly emergency warning siren test has been postponed from March 3rd to March 24th.
The Emergency Warning Siren System is used by CEMA to alert residents who are outdoors of potentially dangerous conditions. Upon activation of this system, the siren will produce a steady 3-minute tone which indicates an emergency condition exists in your area.
Chatham County residents who are outside should seek shelter and tune to their NOAA weather radio or local radio or television stations for more information.
The Emergency Warning Siren System is scheduled to be tested at noon the first Wednesday of each month. If you would like to receive an email notification of scheduled siren tests or to learn more about this program, please subscribe to CEMA Signal by visiting www.ChathamEmergency.org.
