CEMA Staff Member Completes Emergency Management Certification

The Chatham County Board of Commissioners congratulates Chelsea Sawyer for the completion of all required courses for the Georgia Basic Certified Emergency Manager designation. The certification is issued by the Georgia Emergency Management Agency, and is encouraged for all emergency management staff in the state of Georgia. Chelsea makes the fourth Certified Emergency Manager on staff with CEMA.  "We are very proud of Chelsea and the work she has put in over the last 2.5 years.  Her passion for emergency management and disaster preparedness help make the citizens of Chatham County more resilient ." - Dennis Jones, CEMA Director

The Chatham County Siren System

The Chatham Emergency Management Agency conducts monthly tests of our emergency warning sirens on the first Wednesday of each month at 12 noon. If you hear a siren at any other time, it means take cover! Read more about our warning siren program.
